The History of Peace In The Hood
Peace In The Hood is a faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to Peace, Justice and Empowerment. Peace In The Hood has a history of serving diverse Youth groups. Since its inception, the organization has addressed a myriad of problems facing at risk and high-risk youth and young adults. To address community problems from a holistic perspective, Peace In The Hood was founded as a subsidiary of Coalition For A Better Life in 1983. It offers Mentoring, Youth Violence Prevention, Intervention, Homeownership/Financial Literacy and Educational Programs that promote personal responsibility, empowerment and self-sufficiency.
